This smoothie is a powerhouse of goodness! Super refreshing and perfect on hot summer days. Packed with Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Manganese, good fats and so much more. The health benefits are endless but I will give you just a few reasons to incorporate these foods into your daily diets:
Pineapples and limes are a great source of Vitamin C! The primary water-soluble antioxidant found in our bodies which protects us from free-radical damage. This translates to keeping our arteries healthy, reduction/prevention of certain cancers and supporting healthy joins.
Manganese is also abundant in pineapples. A trace mineral essential in energy production and another free-radical busting antioxidant.
Vitamin K found in leafy greens such as parsley is vital to our bone health. Women who have passed through menopause and are experiencing bone loss benefit greatly consuming Vitamin K rich foods to prevent future fractures.
